ABOUT DOQS Founded in 1988, Data-Oriented Quality Solutions was launched to develop the synergy between data-oriented disciplines and the practices of quality management. At the time, IT was still completely centralized around the data center, PCs were beginning to penetrate the workplace, CASE tools were setting the direction in software engineering, data warehouses were small because of the early availability and weaknesses of relational databases, and quality management focused on TQM, with Six Sigma still unknown because it hadn't yet emerged from Motorola.
